This work contains three volumes of 'Records of the Indian Muesum', all being numbered as Volume XIV; 'Fauna of the Inle Lake, Introductory Account of the Inle Lake' by N. Annandale, being dated March 1918. 'Fauna of the Inle Lake, Aquatic Molluscs of the Inle Lake and Connected Waters' by N. Annandale, being dated August 1918. 'Fauna of the Inle Lake, Summary of Results with a Description of a New Species of Taia from the Chindwin Valley, Upper Burma', by N. Annandale, being dated August 1918. This volume of 'Records of the Indian Museum' contains observations and research conducted by Nelson Arnnandale and Frederic Gravely at the Inle Lake in Burma. The 'Records' were a quarterly journal on zoology and various branches of anthropology. Nelson Annandale was the editor of the 'Records of the Indian Museum', as well as being the director of the Zoological Survey of India, and the director of the Indian Museum. He studied zoology, entomology, anthropology, and herpetology, and his collection of insects and spiders are currently on display at the Indian Museum. Frederic Gravely was also a zoologist and entomologist, as well as being a botanist and arachnologist. He published many papers during his lifetime, mostly during his tenure at the Indian Museum. Some include 'Account of the Oriental Passalidae', 'Notes of Indian Mygalomorph Spiders', and 'The Spiders and Scorpions of Barracuda Island&apos. Many of his papers were published in other volumes of the 'Records of the Indian Museum&apos. All three title pages state that this is the Author's Copy. With illustrations and photographs throughout, with explanatory notes alongside. In the original half calf binding with cloth boards. Rubbings has caused some loss of leather to the extremities, joints, and spine. Light fading to the spine. Very minor markings to the cloth boards. Light bumping to the extremities. Evidence of worming to the bottom of the rear pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright, with occasional scattered spotting to the first and last few pages.
