Collated, complete. In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally very smart with only minor shelf wear and a slight bumping to the head and tail of the spine and the extremities. The cloth to the spine has slightly darkened and presents a few rubs. With Gerald Henry Rendall's bookplate to the front pastedown, and a library plate to the front free endpaper, as well as a small library stamp to the verso of the title page and the occasional plate, as well as to the top gutter of page 1. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are very bright and clean. Illustrated with a coloured frontispiece, numerous full plates, some in colour, and a copious amount of illustrations in text.
