Uniformly bound in fine supple, textured, full-calf in various shades of brown, tan, maroon, blue, etc; all bearing blind-stamped borders, gilt lettering to the spine and front covers, and gilt crest embossed to the centres. Publisher's maroon top-and-edge stains. Shakespeares' black-and-white frontispiece to all of the volumes. Remarkably well-preserved with little-to-no wear to the extremities, contents equally without blemish with bright, clean, and unmarked pages and tight, sound bindings; near fine and housed in good+ black leather clamshell box with a button clasp, showing some edgewear and chipping to the leather extremities, joints tender at flap hinges, short 4" closed split to the flap (remains very much attached). Overall, very good. An uncommonly, charming, and handsome set of Shakespeares' plays. .
