Light teal, twice-stapled, card covers bearing a distinctive "5" logo surrounded by a circular border, with text in mahogany. Charming period advertisements by many sponsoring local and national business and merchants including the T. Eaton Co. "SCONA" Packaged Foods, Imperial Motors, et al. Comprises of a rich selection of recipes as compiled by the "Ladies of Circle Five of Westminster United Church W.A.", all accompanied with the names of their respective contributors. Sections include: Breads, Buns and Muffins; Candies and Cakes; Drinks; Desserts; Luncheon and Supper Dishes; Salads; Pastry and Pie Tarts; James, Jellies and Marmalades; Pickles and Relishes, etc. While no date of printing has been indicated by the publishers, the present offering was likely compiled and printed in the late 1940's possibly into the 1950's. Light rubbing and spotting to the covers, text-block overwhelmingly bright, clean, and unmarked, pages 17-20 have pulled away from the stapled binding, though all remain whole and complete. Unrecorded in OCLC. Indeed, we were unable to locate any institutional holdings of this title at time of cataloguing, nor in commerce. Not found in Peel, BAC/LAC, University of Manitoba Archives & Special Collections, McGill, McMaster, nor Guelph, et al. Notably, it does not appear in Elizabeth Driver's definitive bibliography on the subject: "Culinary Landmarks: A Bibliography of Canadian Cookbooks, 1825–1949". Rare. .
