R.N. Entered the Roayl Navy as a surgeon in 1894. He retired as surgeon rear-admiral January 19,1926. He served in the South African war of 1899-1900, in the Orange Free State, and in the Great War 1914-1918, serving on the Dardanelles and on the Suez Canal. He was editor and co-author of Naval Brigades in the South African War, 1899-1900. He was also a writer of sea life in the Navy, the last being published in 1913. Size: 8 vo. Very Good.
