First part, 1924, is a dutch language introduction about Ziegenbalg and one of his major publications about Malabar Paganism and Pagans (called Nayres]. The second volume, 1926 is the coomplete text in modern german language in which Ziegenbalg supplies detailed scholarly information about Pagans and Paganism in Southern Indie (Tranquebar and Bangalore), which includes his analysis of the value of christianization as he (Ziegenbalg) had observed the fact that in diffcult times converts tended to return to their pagan beliefs.
