This is a Very Good Copy of this book in Publisher's brown cloth with gilt title lettering to spine,in the very scarce original dust-jacket graded Good and which has a few small closed tears to the head and tail of spine with one small 6mm chip to the bottom edge of the lower cover and one small 4mm chip to the top edge of the lower cover.There is some age toning to spine with d/j priced at 7/6 net to centre of spine.Not price clipped and this copy has NO previous names or inscriptions present.The book has a firm binding with no hinge weakness and there is NO leaning or rolling to spine.The book has some offsetting to the endpapers and there are a couple of small ink marks to the fore-edge of the book with a few small foxing spots also.This title was acquired from the Library of an Academic in London who studied at Oxford alongside Iris Murdoch and became a personal friend of hers.Rare in original plain brown dust-jacket.8vo 350pp First Edition 4th Impression [1928].
