Decorative end papers, B&W photos and reproductions of letters from FDR. ; Large 8vo 9" - 10" tall; 386 pages; Walter Teagle was a powerful businessman in the first half of the 20th century, was the president of Standard Oil from late 1917 to June 1937 and Chairman of Standard Oil from June 1937 to November 1942. His pro Nazi views were controversial and interfered with tire production for the war effort. As well, his sale of fuels to Germany and Japan caused Standard Oil to come into disfavor with the US government and brought about his eventual resignation.. Very Good- in Fair dust jacket .
