ABORIGINAL ADVANCEMENT LEAGUE; SIMMONS, RENNIE.
Analysis Of Mr. Rupert Murdoch's Article on The West Australian Natives Published in "The News', Adelaide February 1st 1957.
First Pamphlet Edition; Demy 8vo; pp. (6) including wrappers, 4 b/w. photographic illustrations, parer browned otherwise very good copy. Coburg; Challenge press; 1957. In 1957, the "Warburton Ranges controversy" or "Warburton Ranges crisis" arose, after it was reported in 1956 that at least 40 Aboriginal people had been discovered to be ill and malnourished in the Central Desert. An enquiry into the state of the Aboriginal people by a select committee followed. In response a group of journalists led by Rupert Murdoch visited the area. Murdoch rejected the findings and wrote an article saying that the native people were fine. This current pamphlet by Rennie Simmons is in response to that article of Murdoch's.
