A charming set of antique children's illustrated playing cards from the former children's toy company, a vanishingly scarce and charming item for collectors of children's toys. A complete collection of fifty-two animal playing cards made by 'Abbatt Toys&apos. Each card is colour illustrated with the cards being housed in a colour illustrated box. This very scarce collection of playing cards was created by Abbatt Toys, a toy manufacturer set up by Paul and Marjorie Abbatt. The cards feature groups of four cards depicting animals and their geographical locations for you to sort and match. 'Abbatt Toys' was started in 1932 and stopped manufacturing in 1973. They are notable for their stylish and simple designs and educational factors, and are considered to be unique collectables amongst antique toy collectors. Undated, dated from articles on the product. A set of paper playing cards in the original cardboard box. The cards are very smart with only the odd minor spot and slight handling mark to the odd card.
