Napier's Rods, also known as Napier's Bones, is a manually-operated calculating device, which was created and published in 1617 by Scottish mathematician, physicist, and astronomer John Napier (1550 - 1617). With the rods originally made out of metal, wood, or ivory, the method was based on lattice multiplication, or rabdology - the latter word invented by Napier. Very good .
