(1930s), after the second, censored and confiscated one; 8 1/2 x 6; pp. 1-267, [4]; beige wraps, printed and decorated in brown and black; illustrated with numerous photographs; chips and closed cuts to tips of spine; several small nicks and creases to edges; last gathering partially and roughly opened; in good to very good condition. Lev Iasinchuk (1882 - 1963) was a Ukrainian-American authorand educator in Galicia and later, in the US. He was a prominent figure of the Native School society - an educational organization, founded in 1881 in Lviv, which published children's literature and served as a go-between with government institutions, among other things. The current book told the history of the society, during its first 50 years. Very good .
