Title: Pappenheim-Adams Grand Opera Program
Description: Philadelphia, s. n. 1878. Opera program; 9 1/4 x 6; pp. [4]; off-white stock, illustrated with an engraving; faint creases and a few minor nicks to edges; a small, penciled in, manuscript note to pp. 2; in very good condition. The American Academy of Music, a grand concert hall in Philadelphia, was built between 1855 and 1857 and is the oldest opera house in the US still used for its original purpose. The Adams-Pappenheim Opera Company, advertised here, was named after Austrian-American operatic soprano Eugenie Pappenheim and tenor Charles Adams. Very good .
