John Ramsay (1814 1892) was a Scottish Liberal Party politician. In 1864 he was a member of the Royal Commission on Education in Scotland. From the family library at Kildalton but without the bookplate. The second and third works were written whilst he was M.P. for Falkirk Burghs (1874-1886).
