Contemporary half calf gilt, raised bands, decorated compartments, maroon calf gilt spine label, marbled sides, eps and leaf-edges, integral silk place-marker. Extremes very lightly rubbed; light spotting and browning to blanks. Eight separate pieces, each with its own title-page, imprint and register. Reissued in 1843 with a general title-page. Leatham was well known in Yorkshire, particularly Wakefield, as a poet, politician and banker. Brought up as a Quaker, he later became a member of the Church of England. COPAC: V & A, Leeds.
