This is a Very Good Copy of this Book handsomely bound in dark green calf (leather) over marbled boards with marbled endpapers and all page edges are marbled.Gilt title lettering to the second compartment on spine with other sections emossed in gilt with fishing tackle designs in gilt in the first fourth and last section along spine.There are five raised bands gilt ruled,minor wear to spine tips and corners of the binding however certainly commensurate with the age of this work.There is one former owner's bookplate to the front pastedown.Engraived frontispiece by Linton in Argyleshire and engraving to the title page which is lettered in both red and black.The binding remains firm with no hinge weakness,so no loose leaves etc.Contents are clean with fresh looking text block.There are 8 Chapters in Two Parts: Fishing and 2nd Part Natural History.Very decent copy for the collector,8vo (xx) 263pp First Edition [1860]. Very Good .
