N.B.James Reynolds produced some wonderful educational astronomical charts from around 1840 to around 1870.They were invariably hand coloured on card with some notes of explanation etc.Some had very clever tissue insets so that when held up to the light they illuminated the picture as if by magic and there are some wonderful transparent images produced to illuminate the sky.He produced various aspects of astronomy such as stars and constellations,comets,eclipses and planets near and far from Earth.John Emslie 1813 to 1875 was the principal artist and engraver of these wonderful charts. Very Good .
