This is a Very Good Copy of this Book in Publisher's original cream buckram boards over a slate grey cloth spine,with gilt title to the upper cover and to the spine.The book has one previous owner's bookplate to the front pastedown of 'Ethel McLeod' and one former neat owner's name to the ffep,this copy having belonged to a former President of the Robert Browning Society.Browning died in Venice and was laid to rest in England's historic Abbey.This is a written account of the Memorial Service held in King's Chapel Boston on January 28th 1890,with several b&w plates of King's Chapel,with one added small newspaper cutting tipped in on page 53 and several articles laid in from newspapers which have led to some brown impression marks to endpapers.The book lists the order of service,along with sonnets included,hymns and the benediction.This is a scarce work,with the boards in very good shape,one small stain mark to the lower cover,and with aboston bookseller's ticket to the bottom edge of the original grey slate endpapers,8vo 61pp First Edition.
