Original publisher's green printed paper wrappers. Now housed in an archival mylar sleeve. A suite of 24 [loose] color illustrations to Dickens' PICKWICK PAPERS, including engraved title, as drawn by Pailthorpe. 10-15/16" x 7-9/16". Wrapper spine paper perished, with some chipping & creasing to wrappers. Occasional modest wear to plate edges. Wrappers: Good only. Plates: title leaf plate with chip to right edge, otherwise all VG - NF, with most showing a hint of age-toning. Uncommon item of Dickensiana, the last time we had a set was over a decade ago.
