Now housed in a clear archival mylar sleeve. [2], 28, [2] pp. Facsimile p. 27. Tall 8vo. 10" x 6-1/2" Macrone was Dickens first publisher (Sketches by Boz), though Dickens chaffed at the arrangement. After Dickens' fame skyrocketed with the publishing of Pickwick, Dickens was able to buy out his agreements with Macrone. Macrone died unexpectedly at age 28 and Dickens helped to publish a book (Pic-Nic Papers) to benefit Macrone's widow and children. Nr Fine.
