The Lakeview Club was formed in 1914, merging with another local East Bay club, the Ebells, in the 1990s, with the joined club(s) disbanding in 2011 [San Jose Mercury News, 1/13/2011]. Here offered your typical benefit cookery book, though this, on first blush, seemed a bit different in one regard.. the Table of Contents shows the first two pages are devoted to "Cocktails", and while I'd hoped for a new twist on the venerable Manhattan, most of the these cocktail recipes are actually of the "shrimp" & "crab" variety. OCLC shows 6 institutional holdings of this cookery book, though at the time of cataloguing, we find no other copies offered in the trade.
