General wear, with slight cock to most volumes. The odd hinge starting. Bookplate shadow to front paste-downs. Usual smattering of foxing. Overall, a VG set, and uncommon thus. The text in this set treats France's historical record through 1861, a later supplement was issued, ca 1871, recounting the Franco-Prussian war.
