Andrews writes Du Pont concerning title to lots purchased "in this City", and difficulty attaining such for Du Pont's "power of Atty is not on record + not be found in the City.. will you give me a title or not? .. "I have already paid $1500 & am willing to pay $2500 more if I can get a good title... Please direct yr letter to Wm Andrews & Co Stoneyard, on Pine St. between Montgomery & Kearny Sts --" An nice item documenting real estate transactions & values in 1850s San Francisco. Age-toning. Horizontal fold-liens. Bit of edgewear [perhaps mounted on the left side at some point in the past?]. Overall, Very Good.
