Henry Norris. Original publisher's blue cloth binding with gilt stamping. Vol I with [presumed] Deering arms to front board. Red patterned paper eps. 2 volumes: [8], 248; [2], [249] - 492, 50 pp. Erratum slip after title leaf, vol II. Illustrated with 7 plates (tissue guards present). 12mo. 7-1/2" x 4-7/8". Bindings show some wear to extremities. Hinges just starting. Age-toned throughout and with some dust-soiling. Ffep to volume two with chip to fore-edge. Vol II with po signature (Rev. Henry Norris). Withal, a VG set. Rebecca Dering was Edward's second wife. Per Wolff, "This [the Memoir] and the pictures illustrate the weird ménage described by Sadleir (I, 84-85); but he did not have this book. For sheer gentle English loony eccentricity this ranks high.".
