First appearance [in facsimile] of a newspaper initially edited by Charles Dickens, his resignation coming barely more than a month later, 9 February 1846. His "Travelling Letters. Written on the Road", on p. 6 herein, would form the first chapter of Pictures from Italy, published in May 1846. Issued by the Daily News on their 50th anniversary.
