Description: (San Francisco): Louis Roesch Co. Printers, 1904. 1st Printing. Merlot colored card stock wrappers, printed in green with some gilt. White glossy paper leaves, printed in red and black, held together with a tie, now housed in a mylar sleeve. 8 leaves. Housed in large wrappers. Illustrated with small vignettes and decorative borders. 8" - 5-1/2". A VG copy. Soiling to wrappers, some ink markings (red, blue and black) adjusting menu items/prices, some pencil scribbles to last leaf, some soiling to leaves, age toning to leaves, overall a nice copy of this rare wine list. Dated by using San Francisco City Guides. Was not in the 1895 guide, nor the 1905. It was in the 1906 Vol. III guide that we see The Louvre listed again but at its second location at Fillmore and Eddy. A German restaurant that had German wines, French Wines, California wines, Italian wines as well as a selection of mixed drinks.
