Description: Toronto: W. C. T. U. (Women's Christian Temperance Union), (n. d.). Off-white/tan broadsides with brown lettering. Two broadsides. One small vignette of a vehicle. 5-3/4" x 3" and 6" x 3". They are VG copies, light soiling, staple holes, clean and bright. Now housed in a clear archival mylar sleeve. Both cards were distributed by the W.C.T.U. of Toronto, Canada as promotion for the temperance movement. One card reads "Alcohol's Place Is Outside The Body. Dump him in the varnish; Pop him in the dye; Who wants Alcohol in drink? NOT I! NOT! NOT I!". The other reads " Bikes and motor cars and trains Depend upon our human brains; So we'll keep our thinking clear By never drinking wine or beer.".
