In 1858 the author, Edward Gastineau, took a four month walking tour of the Channel Islands, and this account was published in 1860. It is more than a travelogue; he also discusses the islands' history, their geography & their inhabitants. A somewhat rare book in the trade; the RBH database records no copy on the market since that in a 1945 Francis Edwards catalogue.
