First line of The Man that Has Seen Better Days: "No doubt you all wonder what object this is." First line of When Sailing on De Ohio: "A summer day, it feels so gay." First line of Oh: Sambo White, in Lub I'm Quite: "Oh! Sambo White, pray come dis night." A scarce mid-19th C broadside, which features one song professing to know the heart & soul of the black man in bondage. "But when him on de ribber side, / Him like to see de flowing tide, / And hear de rushing as it blow, ob de Ohio.".
