Bound with Tavistock Books' item #30013 [Dombey & Daughter], and price is for both titles. viii, [9] - 320 pp. Novel text in double column. 32 page publisher catalogue bound-in at rear. Illustrated with a frontis, title page vignette & 15 inserted engravings, all after the originals by Hablot K. Browne ("Phiz") by Gilbert & Gihon. NB. Collates per NYPL copy. 8vo. 9-1/8" x 5-3/4". A VG+ copy (retailer stamp to t.p. extremities & bottom margin of last page of text). NB. Wilkins speaks of a Lea & Blachard advert for this title, issued in parts, found on the back cover of their Copperfield [1849-50], hawking their edition with illustrations accompanying the parts. One can speculate, given the dates involved, their earlier issues perhaps had fewer plates, given this copy, which is obviously BFTP, as well as that copy in the NYPL, have but 16.
