Frontis depiciting 'Medal of the Yorkshire Archers', folding plate showing the [fictional] pedigree of Robin Hood & a plate of the 'Medal of the Darlington Archers'. 12mo: A - H6 I4. C2 missigned as C3; C3 missigned as C2. 5-7/8" x 3-3/4". Spine leather lightly sunned. A VG+ copy. A somewhat popular book on the subject, reissued thrice since publication (once being photographic facsimile in 1970), however this first edition a fairly uncommon item not often seen on the commercial market, coming to auction only twice these past 30 some-odd years, the last being 1988.
