Overall VG (some wear & soiling to covers/initial tissue guard with fold-lines). This an early dramatised English edition [the first was mid-1880s] of a famous Japanese story, The Forty-Seven Ronin, which was first performed in these author's version in 1748. A penciled note in the top margin of the inside rear wrapper states '1907', though the only date of publication we can locate [on OCLC] for this publisher is 1894.
