Fold-out hand-colored 1836 map of New York as frontis, which depicts the state, New York City, the NYC environs, Utica, & the Niagara River. 68 intra-textual maps & plans of the counties, cities, etc. Signed in 4s. 9" x 5-3/4". VG (usual browning & foxing to paper/old repair to map fold). A respectable copy. A scarce New York imprint of this title- both American Imprints & Sabin note solely the Phildelphia imprint (Cf. American Imprints 37747 & Sabin 27997), as does the NUC; additionally, copies listed on OCLC & RLIN are just the Philadelphia edition. The only recorded copy we could locate of this NY imprint is in the NYPL.
