Description: Frieze-like composition with, from left to right, a goat licking a statue of Pan, three putti carrying branches, two draped women, Silenus sitting on a panther and supported by a satyr, and a satyr shoeing a donkey.Signed at bottom: P. Brebiette fecit in Roma / F.L.D. Ciartres excudit Com Privilegio; numbered at bottom right: 9.[NL] Bacchus gezeten op een luipaard omringd door bacchanten en een ezel. Dronken Silenus. Gemaakt door Pierre Brebiette (1598-1642). Vorm van rechthoek, oblong. Etching on laid paper, with small margin; total: 90 x 264 mm; state II/2 [?]; some rubbing and dirt, some stains on the bottom margin; some small holes on the right margin, visible against light; partial watermark visible; mounted on elegant cardboard passepartout.
