Description: The Prodigal Son as a swineherd, sitting in front of a barn. The pigs eating from a manger, beside a well. The young man is in a rather contemplative position, holding his right hand up to his forehead.[NL] Antieke tekening uit de kring van Abraham Bloemaert (1566-1651). De verloren zoon als varkenshoeder, zwijnenhoeder, zittend voor een schuur. Drawing on hand laid paper, pen and brown ink, washed in brown; total: 303 x 206 mm; traces of black chalk; bottom left corner damaged and restored; foolscap watermark. Despite some light smudges, in good condition.
