He was a lawyer from Nuremberg / Nurnberg.Lettered on parapet with title, information about the sitter and sitter's dates, and lettered below image with production details: Joh. Just. Preisler del. / G. M. Preisler sculps. Norimb. 1750. With coat of arms of the sitter[NL] Antieke prent, gravure uit 1750 van de graveur Georg Martin Preisler. Portret van jurist Karl Wilhelm Woelcker (1690-1748), driekwart lengte, naar voren gericht, met pruik, kraag en japon met bontvoering, achter borstwering met letters en wapenschild; naar Johann Justin Preisler. Hij was een advocaat uit Neurenberg. Engraving on paper with some margins; total: 448 x 291 mm. Some rubbing, light foxing, a scratch on the bottom, on the inscription, traces of previous mounting on verso, otherwise in good condition; corners have been rounded.
