Description: View on the outskirts of Delft with the Schiedamse and the Rotterdamse Poort, with a drawing bridge on the left, a mill, several boats and buildings along the canals.Unsigned.[NL] Een gezichtje op Delft met de Schiedamse en de Rotterdamse Poort.We are grateful to Laurens Schoemaker (RKD) for recognizing the place represented. Watercolor in gray tones, pen and brush; line frame in brown ink; no signs of underdrawing. Rather stiff, yet amusing composition; total: 411 x 543 mm; some foxing on the top margin, a couple of repaired tears at bottom, traces of water stain in brownish tones in the right portion of the sky, some rubbing; traces of previous mounting on verso; overall in fine condition.
