Blooteling fecit et ex. cum Privilegio.[NL] Hiëronymus van Beverningh was een Gouds regent, diplomaat en thesaurier-generaal van de Republiek der Zeven Verenigde Nederlanden in de Gouden Eeuw. Van Beverningh groeide op in Gouda en studeerde aan de Universiteit Leiden. Hij was tevens amateur-botanist.
