Description: Aesta, summer, litho with roman statue and two putti.Aestas (summer or summer heat) is the Roman personification of summer, godess of the harvest (godin van de oogst). She is mentioned by Ovid in his Metamorphoses. Under her name a lobster, cancer (kreeft), the time period for the summer solstice (21 june - 22 july).  Original lithography. Total 345 x 265 mm. Severe foxing, further in good condition.
