At the right, a game cock. After John Wootton (1682-1764).Titled above: 'Father of the Turf'; inscribed at bottom: 'Tregonwell Frampton Esq.r Keeper of ye running horses at Newmarket to King William ye 3d. Queen Ann King George ye 1st and King George ye 2nd. Ao AEtat 87, 1728.' Etching and engraving on paper, total: 214 x 127 mm; some dirt, rubbing and light foxing, overall in good condition.
