On verso text in letterpress.This map is cut from a print with five polder maps (de Zijpe, de Beemster, de Purmer, de Wormer and Waterland). This print is used in: 'The English Atlas'. 4 vols, published in Oxford and Amsterdam between 1680-1683. Etching and engraving on paper, handcolored, on verso text in letterpress; cut within plate mark, total: 186 x 155 mm. Vertical folding crease, some light smudges, on verso traces of previous mounting and some tape at the top, otherwise in great condition.
