Description: View of the Nieuwe Kerk in The Hague (de Nieuwe Kerk in Den Haag) from the side. Within the church ground on the right, some men exercising. Just outside the wall people selling second hand products (tweede hands), like clothes, art, vases etc.This print was used in: Jacob de Riemer's: Beschryving van 's-Graven-Hage... Delft and Den Haag, 1730-1739.Titled above, on a ribbon: 'DE NIEUWE KERK.' Signed at bottom: 'G.v. Giessen del. / J.C. Philips fec. direx. / R. Boitet Excud. Cum Privil'.  Etching on laid paper with margins and watermarks; plate mark: 280 x 340 mm, total: 320 x 390 mm; two sheets joined together on the verso; some smudges and a bit cooked paper, nice view of the church in The Hague.
