Description: Beautifully handcolored print from G. Bidloo 'Komst van Zijn Majesteit Willem III in Holland...', 1691. Here is shown the triumphal arch on the Groenmarkt parallel to the short side of the Hofvijver.Titled in Dutch and French at bottom: 'EEREPOORT OP DE PLAATS. / ARC DE TRIOMPHE SUR LA PLACE.' Hand colored etching on paper, with margins; plate mark: 334 x 443 mm, total: 389 x 482 mm. Small tear and smudges on the bottom margin, otherwise in great condition.
