Description: Portrait of Hendrik Tilly at 102 years of age. According to the inscription, he lived in the Aalmoezeniershuis in Haarlem.Inscription at the bottom: 'HENDRIK TILLY, Gebooren te Oostende den 29 September 1662 woond te Haarlem in 't Aalmoesseniershuis Gezond van Verstand en Lighaam. / door C. V. Noorde na 't Leeven get. en geetst 1764.' A later state of this plate suggests that Tilly died in 1767.Quadrant, sextant, octant (nautical instuments), compass, Hendrik TillyPortret van Hendrik Tilly op 102-jarige leeftijd. Zijn hand rust op een octant. Daarnaast ligt een kompas. Tilly woonde in het Aalmoezeniershuis van Haarlem en stierf op 105-jarige leeftijd.
