Description: Seventeen prints by Caspar Jacobsz. Philips, mostly originating from the set: 'Landschapjes, Rúwientjes enz.' published in 1766.Mounted on three different sheets by the collector Pim van Eekelen (Amsterdam 1923-1984), as his mark is present in all the versos (L.5101).At the top of the first sheet the title print of the set from 1766.At the center of the second sheet, the portrait of Pieter van Laer (1599-1642), seated in front of his easel; titled below: 'Pieter van Laer, alias Bamboots.' after a composition by Joachim von Sandrart (1606-1688).At the center of the third sheet is another very interesting print by Philips, namely a male naked torso realized in mixed medium, such as vernis mou, aquatint and plate toning.[NL] Zeventien prenten van Caspar Jacobsz. Philips, grotendeels afkomstig uit set: 'Landschapjes, Rúwientjes enz.' gepubliceerd in 1766. In het midden van het tweede blad het portret van Pieter van Laer. Etchings on paper, with small margins, mounted on sheets measuring 319 x 244 mm; Wurzbach vol. 2, p. 326, cat.nr. 1.
