Description: View on one side of the woods in The Hague [Den Haag]; on the right a canal, on the left grachten/canalhouses and various figures walking by.Charming print, dated below on the left: ‘Publish’d according to Act of Parliament 1761;' titled below: 'Vuë d'une partie du Bois de la Haye / á Londres chés Wichnyther, et á Paris chés Basset ruë St. Jacques au Coq A.P.D.R.' Signed on the bottom right: 'Wichnyther ed Chereau.' Numbered on the top right corner: 'N. 22.' Hand-colored etching and engraving (handgekleurde optica prent) with broad margins; plate mark: 270 x 395 mm, total: 331 x 497mm; creases on the corners, some damp stains on the right margin slighlty affecting the plate. Nicely colored impression. Mounted on passepartout, with tape.
