Description: Fire in the fair stalls at the Buitenhof in The Hague, on the 9th May 1758. In the background the Stadholder's Quarter and three masts with decorated initials.In the foreground, people are panicking trying to save goods.Titled at bottom with address of the publisher: 'De kermis-kramen op 't Buitehof in 's Gravenhage, in brand, op den 9 may 1758 / F. Houtteuyn excudit.'Used in Wagenaar's 'Vaderlandsche Historie...' vol. XXII, p. 450.  Etching and engraving on paper with wide margins; plate mark: 184 x 240 mm, total: 255 x 338 mm; smudges and dirt on the margins, some more dirt on the bottom left corner; in good condition; Muller  4082.
