Description: Plate 29 (of 41) of the funerary procession of Willem IV, on February the 4th 1752 showing some of the personalities: eight messengers, two grooms of the chamber, four trumpeters, an herald for the Generality Isaac Dier, the steward of the State. The personalities are referred to in three different languages, Dutch, English and French, at bottom.Signed at bottom: P.v. Cuyck junior delineavit / J. Punt sculpsit 1754.The prints were published in book form in 1755 in The Hague by Pieter Gosse junior and Nicolaes van Daalen and printed by Daniel Monnier.[Onderdeel van een serie van 41 platen van de begrafenisstoet van stadhouder Willem IV te Delft op 4 februari 1752]. Etching on paper with margins; plate mark: 272 x 570 mm, total: 497 x 623 mm; vertical crease in the middle, a tear on the bottom section, not affecting the plate; smudges and light staining, some dirt and ink traces. In good condition. Muller 4032-29.
