Description: A landscape with a house on the right in front of which are a man, a woman, and a child. The man is pointing with his right hand towards the left side of the print. The scene represents the biblical episode of Abraham casting out Hagar and Ishmael, their son, to the wilderness (Gen. 21: 9-21). In the center in the foreground are three resting shepherds. Eleventh print of part three of a series of a total of sixty prints with landscapes with different subjects: Amenissimae aliquot regiunuculae. Numbered on the bottom right: 11. Etching on laid paper, trimmed within plate mark, mounted on cardboard; total: 123 x 184 mm; state I(?)/2; a small stain in the sky, some other minor staining at verso, some rubbing on the margins otherwise in good condition. Hollstein 266.
