Description: On the right, the infant Christ stands on a column and has just broken a religious image which is now lying on the ground in pieces. Mary and Joseph look over, the father rather shocked. The print is part of a series with Biblical, mythological and allegorical representations after de Lairesse. This impression is numbered on the bottom right corner: 17.Signed at bottom: G. Etching on paper with margins; plate mark: 277 x 380 mm, total: 320 x 425 mm; traces of a folding crease in the middle, some light rubbing and staining along the margins and on the corners, bottom margin slightly sun-cooked; traces of previous mounting on verso, otherwise in very good condition.
